Below you will find the complete detail on all current Leather By Dragonfly policies. If you have any questions about any of the guidelines below or something that is not addressed below, please reach out to us at info@leatherbydragonfly.com before placing your order.

Shipping

Shipping in the United States

All Leather By Dragonfly products is made in our studio in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Orders shipped within the continental United States and Canada ship via USPS. Once you receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information, you can check the USPS website or contact the postal service for more details on the location of the shipment and its expected delivery date. 

Delivery date estimates

All delivery times are estimates, as USPS is ultimately responsible for the delivery of your shipment.

Leather By Dragonfly is not responsible for any delays on the part of the USPS, including any processing time that the postal service requires at the USPS origin facility. Unfortunately, we don’t have any control over how quickly the postal service scans and processes packages.

Processing times

The time that it takes for Leather By Dragonfly to produce, pack, and ship your order (tote, bag, clutch, purse, or Sidekick XL) may take 1 to 3 days. 

We ship large items via USPS, which is estimated to take 1 to 3 business days to reach addresses in the continental United States once a shipment leaves our studio and is accepted by the local post office.

Please let us know if you need your order by a specific date or have an occasion in mind! Everything is handmade and made to order, but we'll do our best to meet your deadline. Just get in touch at info@leatherbydragonfly.com as soon as possible for the best chance of receiving your item(s) in time.

We don't offer shipping guarantees, and the delivery times shown at checkout are estimates. However, we'll do our best to get your order shipped in time to arrive by the date you need it.

USPS tracking

Once you receive a shipping confirmation email, you'll have a tracking number. We ship via USPS, so you can check the status of your delivery by clicking the link in the confirmation email or just by navigating to the USPS site. You can also email us at info@leatherbydragonfly.com if you have questions about the status of your order.  

Holiday shipping

The holidays are the busiest time of the year for Leather By Dragonfly, and processing times are the longest between Thanksgiving and Christmas. So that you know what to expect, processing times are noted on each product listing.

We make and ship items in the order in which they were purchased. For that reason, Leather By Dragonfly has only a limited ability to expedite orders during the holiday season. Please check the expected processing times when you place your order.

The cutoff for placing an order in time for it to arrive before Christmas will be noted on our website and social media profiles. 

Returns and exchanges

Leather By Dragonfly's return policy

Since Leather By Dragonfly launched in 2017, we've stood behind our products and prioritized quality. We guarantee our products are free of defects, and we'll accept any defective item for a return or exchange. 

Additionally, if you aren't happy with your order, you may return or exchange your purchase. An item can be returned for a full refund or exchanged if it meets the following criteria:

  • The article was purchased from leatherbydragonfly.com

  • The thing is unused and undamaged (in its original condition) or defective

  • You reach out to request a refund or exchange within the allowable return period (30 days from receipt).

We can't accept returns or exchanges on items customized for you, such as tote bags ordered with longer-than-standard handles, a crossbody strap, or any other modifications to the standard design. Other one-of-a-kind items are ineligible for return, exchange, or alteration.

Please note that by ordering an item from our store, you agree to our return policy, our alterations policy, our cancellation policy, and the rest of our terms and conditions. 

Upon the placement of the embossing or the orientation of the tag, please email us at info@leatherbydragonfly.com BEFORE placing your order. 

How to return or exchange an item

You have 30 days after receiving your order to initiate the process of returning or exchanging your purchase. If your item is eligible for a return or exchange and meets the criteria outlined above, please email info@leatherbydragonfly.com to start your return or exchange. We will approve your return or exchange.

Next, you'll ship your item(s) back to us, and we'll process your return after the shipment arrives in our studio. Returns and exchanges must be shipped promptly once approved. We expect all shipments of items to be returned or exchanged within 2.5 weeks of our approval of the return or exchange. Returns and exchanges made outside of this timeframe will only be accepted at the discretion of Leather By Dragonfly.

All returned merchandise will be carefully inspected, and returns and exchanges are subject to Leather By Dragonfly’s approval. To be accepted for return or exchange, all items must be in original condition, and you are responsible for returning your articles in the same condition you received them, with no damage or signs of use. Returns and exchanges are processed several days each week but can take up to 7 business days to be completed. 

Refunds will be issued to your original method of payment. If, due to exceptional circumstances, we've approved a refund after 30 days, your refund will only be issued as store credit. You will receive an email when your return has been processed. If you have questions about how quickly your account will reflect the refund, please get in touch with your bank or card issuer.

We reserve the right to deny a return or exchange if we inspect your items and determine that they don't meet the conditions of our return policy. We cannot accept returns of things that have been used or damaged. If the Leather By Dragonfly team inspects your items and finds that they aren't in new condition, you will be alerted by email, and the items will be returned to you.

Items shipped to Leather By Dragonfly without first obtaining our approval for a return or exchange will not be accepted and sent back to you.

Leather By Dragonfly's change and cancellation policy

If you'd like to change or cancel an order, please email info@leatherbydragonfly.com as soon as possible. We don't guarantee the ability to change or cancel an order once it's been submitted. Our production team will make your accessories precisely as specified in your order, and the Leather By Dragonfly team will begin work on your order very quickly after it's submitted. We take responsibility for making your items as you order them, so it’s essential for you to check your selections (and to look at the photos and description of the item you’re requesting).

Orders of custom items (such as tote bags with longer handles, a crossbody strap, or other customizations) are typically ineligible for cancellation or change. Most orders cannot be changed or canceled after 24 hours have elapsed since you placed your order.

We cannot change or cancel the order if your item has already been assembled. Please double-check the color, drop length, and style, to ensure you purchase the correct thing when submitting your order. Additionally, please comply with our guidelines below if you plan to request custom modifications or alterations to your articles.

Warranty and alterations

Leather By Dragonfly's warranty and repair policy

We stand behind our products, and we're happy to repair any of them in the event of a failure of materials or craftsmanship. If a product fails due to manufacturer error, it's usually eligible for a free repair. 

Please note that our warranty and repair policy does not cover damage from anything other than regular use. Additionally, please keep in mind that Leather By Dragonfly produces leather goods made only of full-grain leather, designed to show wear and acquire a patina with age and use. Wear that occurs regularly and does not affect the item's integrity is not a defect.

Email us at info@leatherbydragonfly.com with a photo to discuss your options and to learn where to ship an item for repairs if eligible.

Requesting alterations or customizations for a Leather By Dragonfly product

Leather By Dragonfly has a limited capacity to accommodate requests for custom modifications and alterations. We require that you contact us at info@leatherbydragonfly.com BEFORE placing your order if you want to ask us to modify our standard designs. Our customer service team will confirm whether we can accommodate your request. If we can make the modification you request, additional fees will apply, and your order will be ineligible for return or exchange.  

As per our cancellation policy (above), we can’t guarantee the ability to cancel an order once it has been submitted. Please do not submit an order contingent upon the expectation of customizations that we have not expressly approved. Such orders may be subject to a restocking fee if canceled. 

In some circumstances, we can alter your Leather By Dragonfly purchase after receiving it. An item can be altered if it meets the following criteria:

  • The article was purchased from leatherbydragonfly.com;

  • You are the original purchaser and reach out to request alterations within the allowable return period (30 days from receipt).

We cannot make exceptions to this policy, so please select your drop length carefully when ordering.

Sales & promotional codes

Leather By Dragonfly's policy on promotional codes

Leather By Dragonfly offers promotional codes and sales that you can find out about on our social media profiles and website. All of the promotional codes and deals that we offer throughout the year are subject to the following restrictions:

  • Promotional codes can't be combined or with other sales;

  • Discount codes and deals don't apply to past purchases;

  • Orders are ineligible for a price adjustment after they ship (i.e., after our system generates a shipping confirmation email);

  • Leather By Dragonfly is not obligated to allow customers to redeem expired discount codes or to honor sales that have ended.

Price adjustments

Orders are ineligible for a price adjustment after they ship. (Once a shipping confirmation message has been generated, your order has shipped.) Items not purchased at the total price are ineligible for price adjustments.

Sales that Leather By Dragonfly runs for holidays and other occasions do not apply to past orders and cannot be used as a price adjustment. We can’t process a price adjustment for a promotion code or sale that wasn’t valid when your order was placed.
